In my experience dropped domains will lose their PR next PR update and in many cases they get banned by Google especially if they were parked before they are dropped. If you are buying a domain to get some PR juice you need to make sure that the domain has not dropped/parked.

Well - it may happen if you park for ever, but I have seen many domains recover their PR once taken off parking. www.biofuel.org.uk was parked for several months for instance. Now it is number 1 or 2 in Google UK for 'biofuel' more or less immediately after putting the site up.

Thanks for sharing your experience Stephen, is there any recommendation to recover the PR of a perked domain?
I have parked a domain with SEDO for a month (the site was getting 12,000 visits from Google every day), when I get the site to work again I am no where to be seen by Google FULL BAN, it is almost 6 months now and nothing has changed, do you recommned any action to get it back (other than reinclustion requets). |
